For all trips I require a $100 deposit to hold your date. This is a non refundable deposit. Unfortunately, I've been burned too many times by clients by not making a deposit and not being able to re-book the date in time. As much as it’s a dream of mine to make your day on the water a memorable one, this is a business and how I pay my bills. All deposits can be paid by cash or Venmo.

Of all the fishing I do here at Natural Outfitters, chasing big Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass are my #1 species to target. Bass fishing is something that I teach best and are the most sought after gamefish throughout the country. Here in Western NY and the Finger Lakes, we have arguably some of the best bass fishing in the state. From giant Largemouth in Cayuga Lake to big football sized Smallmouth on Lake Erie, we cover everything in between and cover all techniques to turn you into a better bass fisherman. Whether you want to learn something new, catch your personal best, or put a bunch of fish in the boat, we can tailor the trip just to your specific needs!

We also run Smallmouth Bass trips up on the St. Lawrence River and Eastern Basin of Lake Ontario. Known as “Smallmouth Disneyland” by many, this is the top destination to target giant smallmouth. They are big, plentiful and I have over 10 years of fishing under my belt up on the river and the lake. I know where the big ones live and can definitely get you on a fish of a lifetime in the most scenic fishery in New York State.

On top of the bass, we also have fantastic fishing for Northern Pike. These toothy critters are thriving in all of our Western NY and Finger Lakes waters. Often they are a by-catch while bass fishing, but targeting them has become more popular as they are big, fight hard and are just cool creatures.

Trolling for Lake Ontario Spring Brown Trout Coming Soon

Get hooked up

We have a fantastic cold water fishery for various Trout species & Landlocked Salmon. With the deep cool waters we have in all of the lakes, they make the perfect habitat for sustaining many species of salmonids. We do not do any trolling in the finger lakes, only casting and vertical jigging! This is rod in hand action from the time we start till the trip is over.

This is the most effective way to target these fish and most efficient way to cover water. We catch mostly Lake Trout, but Browns and Rainbows always make an appearance. We specifically target Landlocked Salmon during the colder weather months with some browns and rainbows mixed in as well. This is super fun fishing and so much more fun than trolling!

Walleye fishing in Western NY, especially on Lake Erie, is something that has been going on for a long time and what most western New Yorkers consider sacred. Lake Erie is teeming with walleyes that are just waiting to jump into your cooler!

My boats are equipped with the latest technology for finding walleyes quickly and staying on them. I am also equipped with every piece of equipment possible to make these fish eat, ensuring full coolers of delicious meat for the freezer.

Stripes, yellow bellies, or Finger Lakes Gold as we call them, Yellow Perch are one of the main species we fish for at Natural Outfitters. We have some of the most incredible perch fishing right here in the Finger Lakes. They make excellent table fare with their beautiful white meat and are blast to catch. Fast and furious action makes this fun fishing for all ages. Arguably Capt. Nick’s second favorite fish to chase besides bass. We specialize in this fishery for the spring and the fall.

We also have tons of excellent options for crappies in the spring, as well as big bull bluegills throughout the whole year. Some of our Finger Lakes are LOADED with panfish making for a great action packed day on the water filling the coolers or great family fun.

LIVESCOPE &
ELECTRONIC CLASSES

Have all the bells and whistles on your boat and don’t know how to use them? Just bought a boat and want to learn how to operate it properly? Interested in getting a Forward Facing Sonar module on your boat and want to see how it works before buying it?

I get asked these questions a lot by anglers both near and far. There are many anglers out there that don’t know how to get the most out of their boat, electronics and equipment. That's where I come in. I have years of experience rigging boats and running every electronics brand on the market. I will teach you how to get the most out of your Garmin, Lowrance, or Humminbird units on your boat for a lower cost of what a normal guided trip would be. It's a unique service that not many people offer. I’m excited to get to know your vessel and turn you into a Natural when it comes to running it.

RATES FOR YOUR BOAT

$250 for 4 hours

$400 for 6 - 8 hours

All hands on learning teaching you how to run your own boat and find fish faster

On these trips we could be fishing for a multitude of different species including:

  • Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass

  • Panfish

  • Perch

  • Northern Pike

Whether you’re a local who wants to see the lake from a different point of view or vacationing from out of town for the week, these trips are perfect for families, couples and bigger groups.

WATERFOWL

Besides fishing, my second passion in life is waterfowling. Throughout the fall when I’m not fishing, I’m usually chasing ducks and geese across Western NY. It’s something I’ve fallen in love with long ago and my escape.

From the beginning of December to the middle of January, I guide diver duck and sea duck hunts on Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes. Open water duck hunting is something that is extremely exciting as well as rewarding.

We mainly target:

  • Redheads

  • Bluebills/Broadbill

  • Goldeneyes

  • Buffleheads

  • Mergnasers

  • Longtail Ducks

  • White-Winged Scoters

Once the WNY duck season closes, I pack things up and head down to Long Island to guide for the remainder of the duck season, which goes till the end of January. This is where I grew up duck hunting and know the Long Island bays like the back of my hand. Whether it’s brant and black ducks in the salt marshes, or sea ducks in the Atlantic Ocean, I have you all covered to get you on birds of a lifetime.

On Long Island, we mainly target:

  • Atlantic Brant

  • American Black Ducks

  • Bluebill/Broadbill

  • Buffleheads

  • Mergansers

  • Longtail Ducks

  • Scoters (Commons, Surfs, and White-Wings)

  • Common Eider

Regardless of where you decide to book a hunt with Natural Outfitters, I can guarantee you a hunt of a lifetime that you’ll remember for years to come.

RATES

$300 per hunter, per day

Up to 4 hunters per group

Will take singular hunters

Hunters responsible for their own firearms, ammo, and license

Waders are usually necessary
